Subject: Testing for Nematodes

If you had greens that tested positive for root-knot nematodes last summer, now is the best time to find out if you have potentially damaging populations. Populations are at their highest point during early Spring. It is important to test now because after May rolls around, the juvenile nematodes will have entered into the root system and will no longer be susceptible to nematicide. For information about sending in a sample for a nematode assay, please refer to our Nematode Diagnostics page.
