Subject: Preemergence Weed Control

Spring is the time for application of preemergence weed control products. TIMING OF APPLICATION is the key for best performance of all products.

There are many products (such as BARRICADE, DIMENSION, PRE-M, RONSTAR, TEAM) for preemergence weed control. These products must be applied prior to germination of crabgrass seeds and other weed seeds. Crabgrass seeds germinate when the soil temperature reaches 55 F and remains at that level for at least a week.

THIS IS THE TIME TO APPLY PREEMERGENCE PRODUCTS TO LAWNS AND OTHER TURFGRASS AREAS. DO NOT APPLY AFTER MAY 15.
