Subject: Dr. Pat Vittum Leaves for Sabbatical

I am on sabbatical leave from 1 October 2003 to 15 March 2004. I will be spending much of that time in New Zealand, working on a book on pesticides in the environment. (My hope is that the book will help communicate the benefits and risks of pesticides more effectively, especially to people who perhaps are less familiar with pesticides.)

My e-mail (pvittum@ent.umass.edu) will be forwarded to me so you can maintain contact that way. Please be forewarned, however, that there often will be a several day delay between your sending an e-mail and my reading it, so do not expect rapid responses!
